Electrically conductive tapes are applied to copper, aluminium conductive fabrics and conductive gaskets in order to add adhesion while retaining conductive properties (normal adhesive systems would act as an isolator)
Thermally conductive tapes constructed from transfer adhesive and glass fiber backings to help facilitate thermal conductivity, thus avoiding overheating of components
